qemu-system-mips software package provides QEMU full system emulation binaries (mips), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install qemu-system-mips
qemu-system-mips is installed in your system.
Make ensure the qemu-system-mips package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep qemu-system-mips *
You will get with qemu-system-mips package name, version, architecture and description in a table
